Wtf he thought!
Mary J. Blige got off easy by the courts yesterday after being forced to pay her estranged husband, Martin “Kendu” Isaacs 30,000/month in temporary spousal support, according to multiple sources.
The singer filed for a divorce in July 2016 after 12 years of marriage. Isaacs originally asked for 130,000/month in spousal support, a number Blige and her lawyers thought was outrageous. According to TMZ, “the court found Martin was entitled to some dough to accommodate the standard of living he was used to while married to Mary, but also decided his dream number was unreasonable.”
In recent court documents, Blige accuses Isaacs of spending her money on traveling and other expenses on his girlfriend. The singer said she has been the only bread-winner in the family and that she’s been burdened with more than $10,000,000 in debt.
Although, the couple do not have any children together, Blige has played stepmother to Isaacs three children from a previous relationship.
“I am not responsible for supporting (Martin’s) parents and his children from another relationship which he lists as ongoing monthly expenses,” Blige stated in the court documents.
I can’t wait for Auntie Mary to be able to put all this behind her because I know it’s a stressful situation for her. Going through a divorce in the spotlight can only add more pain than pleasure.
